For the 101st Arena Opera Festival 2024, Anteprima OPERA and HOTEL ACCADEMIA****S, are pleased to present 6 unmissable Listening Guides for the 6 Prime Operas scheduled at the Arena. A happy combination of experience and passion, thanks to the 25 years of activity of Anteprima OPERA, and the prestige and history of the Location, still managed today by the descendants of the great Tenor Zenatello, who staged the first Opera in the Arena.
And then, Events tailored to groups upon request.
THE PROPOSAL
Don't miss the opportunity to participate in the 6 Previews of the 6 Arena Opera Premieres, the afternoon before the Arena Show!
You will be able to enter the history of the Opera from the moment you entry in the prestigious Hotel ACCADEMIA****S. This splendid palace has a history intrinsically linked to the Opera and the Arena, because it is still run today by the Zenatello family, descendants of the great Tenor Giovanni Zenatello who created and financed the first performance of an Opera at the Arena: the famous AIDA of 1913.
In fact, with him the Verona Arena Opera Festival was born, which this year celebrates its 101st edition.
Not only that: he was also the discoverer of great singers, such as the famous Maria Callas, who she brought to Verona and who lived for a long time in one of the rooms of this hotel. Still furnished today as it was then, and dedicated to her.
The walls of this historic building, therefore, have seen many of the greatest singers and conductors pass by. And await you for six unmissable events, with the Artists of Anteprima OPERA. A team of professionals who, after 25 years, know how to excite those approaching Opera for the first time, but also the expert enthusiast. The elegance and pleasantness of the conduction, the Artists just a few steps away, the beauty of the locations, the using of two languages, represent an experience not to be missed for everyone.

The 6 Events Open to the Public
THE CONTENTS OF THE SHOW
The event proposes a pleasant and elegant “Musical Conversation” in the elegant first floor lounge, during which an expert Maestro pianist and two professional Opera Singers, present the Opera scheduled for the same evening in the Arena to the Guests, guiding them to listen to the proposed title and narrating the main aspects of the libretto, the plot and the music, enriched by the performance of the most representative pieces.
The event, capable of making the Opera under examination understood and thus making the appointment with the evening show more pleasant, is conducted in Italian with English translation.
And ends with an “Aperitif”, in time to dine in the many restaurants in the centre, and participate in the Arena Show.

THE ARTISTS
The Artists who will lead the evets are professionals with great experience and passion, active in the most important Italian Theaters.
Roberto Barrali or Gerardo Felisatti, Master pianist and conductors
The first great pianist, among the many merits of him, the receipt in 2011 of the "Verdi Honor Award Teresa Stolz" for the qualities of interpreter and ambassador of Verdi's Music.
The second great pianist, won the 1st Prize at the VI Hyperion National Competition for Chamber Vocal Music section in 2006, and his records have always received great praise.
Sonia Peruzzo, Soprano
Great interpreter, winner of the competitions "Premio Giovani nell'Arte" and “Syntotium” for the role of Queen of the Night, she is active in many of the main Italian theatres.
Andrea Cortese, Baritone
Singer with a long experience, winner of the "Luciano Pavarotti International Competition" in Philadelphia in 1995, she performs in the main Italian theaters, and beyond..

Throughout the summer, the proposal is available every day on request for couples, groups and companies, in different formats.
The meetings can be dedicated to the Operas on the Arena Billboard or to the History of Giovanni Zenatello and the Opera in the Arena.
We can change the Location, Times, Artists, Settings, based on your requests.
The show can be set up at your Offices, in the Hotel where you stay, in historic homes and more, in Verona and on Garda.
