History of OPERA at the Verona Arena
A great story of passion unites the ARENA OF VERONA, with life and choices of a young man from Verona, who migrates to America to become famous. And he returns to make it happen, on 1913, with the first Opera in the Arena: AIDA!

THE CONTENTS
Have you ever dreamed of immersing yourself in the enchanted atmosphere of the OPERA, surrounded by the magic that VERONA has to offer? If your answer is yes, then don't miss the unique opportunity to participate in our Proposals on request, starting with The Story of OPERA at the Verona Arena.
Presented for the first time in 2023, this pleasant and elegant Musical Conversation is conducted by a passionate Actor, an expert Master pianist, and two professional Singers. The story is about a young lyric singer from Verona who, at the end of the 1800s, follows his passion and migrates to America, where he becomes famous. He then puts together ideas, passion, and money for the benefit of his city.
The Arena di Verona Opera Festival was born, in fact, on August 10, 1913, when the famous tenor from Verona Giovanni Zenatello, on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Giuseppe Verdi, entirely at his own expense, staged in the Arena the most spectacular of Verdi's Operas: Aida, made even more grandiose by the spaces of the Roman amphitheater dating back to the 1st century A.D.
But the story, the passion, the foresight of Zenatello, don't begin and end here: there are many things to tell and make heard. Like the discovery of the great Maria Callas, who lived for a long time in Verona at the prestigious Hotel ACCADEMIA****S.
